This updated two-day course provides an in-depth review of the requirements for process piping systems, including overviews and basic applications of both the CSA B51-14 Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Code and the ASME-B31.3-2012 Process Piping Code. It will include content on two new B51 clauses: Clause 12, Pressure relief devices and Clause 13, In-service inspection. It covers the content of both codes during the phases from design through to operational control and in-service management. The emphasis will be on learning the inter-relationship between the two codes.
Participants will take away the knowledge that pressure systems must always be operated, maintained and periodically inspected & tested in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and the applicable legislative requirements.
Many of the CSA Group Learning Institute instructors have contributed to the development of piping standards, making them intimately familiar with both the nuances of the standards as well as their potential impact on the industry. The instructors' ability to deliver course content and material that focuses on practical application allows students to quickly and directly apply what they’ve learned after completing their training, enhancing the return on training investment.
