Pipeline workers across Canada should have a strong understanding of the latest edition of CAN/CSA Z662- Oil & Gas Pipeline Systems to make sure their projects are operated safely and are in compliance with the latest requirements.

This introductory e-learning course provides participants with a high-level overview of major updates and changes to CSA Z662 that were implemented in 2015. This training is ideal for industry personnel who are already familiar with the 2011 edition of CSA Z662 and need to understand the 2015 changes and their importance. The course is comprised of three modules: introduction, updates and a final assessment to complete the training.
The course is structured into six topics - five significant changes are highlighted, including all relevant changes to clauses and annexes and a sixth topic covers other changes that were not part of five major updates.

  • Topic 1: Expanded Scope Related to CO2 Pipeline Systems
  • Topic 2: Updated Requirements for Safety and Loss Management, Integrity Management, and Engineering Assessments
  • Topic 3: Internal Corrosion Control
  • Topic 4: Training and Certification of Field Applied Coating Applicators
  • Topic 5: Steam Distribution Pipelines and High Temperature Pipelines
  • Topic 6: Clause or Annex Changes Not Covered Within the Five Key Updates
