Overview

From small community festivals to the Olympics, event organizers and attendees are increasingly concerned about the environmental and social impacts of events. Based on the sustainability efforts of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, CSA Z2010 - Requirements and Guidance for Organizers of Sustainable Events was published as a practical standard for a wide variety of cultural, business and sporting events & festivals. This Standard specifies requirements for organizing and executing sustainable events, and provides guidance on how to continually improve the performance of events contributing to sustainable development.
