This one-day course provides basic electrical training for the non-electrical worker including electrical fundamentals and effects on the human body. Referencing general rules under the Canadian Electrical Code and CSA Z462, Standard for Electrical Safety, you will learn to recognize electrical hazards including arc flash and shock. You will also learn how to develop safe work practices around electrical equipment and how to mitigate or assist in electrical emergencies. This course is for anyone that works in or near energized or potentially energized electrical equipment that is not qualified but needs to know the potential hazards and how to work safely.
