2010 ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC)

ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC)

Since 1914, the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) has established rules of safety governing the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels, and nuclear power plant components during construction. It has been adopted, in whole or in part, by all 50 U.S. states, numerous American municipalities and territories, and all provinces in Canada.

The Code is kept current by a volunteer group of more than 950 engineers that meet regularly to consider requests for interpretations and revisions, and to develop new rules. In formulating its rules and establishing maximum design and operating pressures, the Committee considers the evidence of experience, as well as technological advances such as materials, construction, methods of fabrication, inspection, certification, overpressure protection.

For your convenience, when you purchase your ASME BPVC documents from CSA, brokerage fees and duties are included in the purchase price. And you'll automatically receive any applicable addenda information through 2013 at no additional charge!
