Electrical Installations in Ontario Must Adhere to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code - It's the Law

The Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) is the technical document that defines standards and legal requirements for electrical installations in the province of Ontario. Published by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) - Ontario's electrical safety regulator and administrative authority - the OESC is developed through consultations of expert members at the provincial and national level.

Updated every three years, this latest edition is now in effect, and as of May 5th, 2016 is being enforced by the province.
