Overview

Promoting lift truck safety minimizes the risk of injuries to workers. B335 specifies the essential elements of a lift truck safety program and prescribes requirements with respect to lift truck design and construction, maintenance and inspection, safe operation, and operator training. It also outlines recommended qualifications for trainers and maintenance technicians. In addition, B35 can be used as a guide for Canadian federal, provincial, and other regulatory bodies in the development of appropriate health and safety legislation and directives concerning lift trucks.
