CAN/CSA-Z276-15 - Liquefied natural gas (LNG) - Production, storage, and handling
As Canada's regulatory framework is adjusting to the rapidly evolving Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry, CAN/CSA Z276 - Liquefied natural gas (LNG) - Production, Storage, and Handling standard is an important part of the new regulation. Now a National Standard of Canada, CAN/CSA Z276 establishes the essential requirements and minimum standards for the design, installation, and safe operation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.
Building on the recently added Annex D – LNG Vehicle Fuelling Station Standard, the latest edition expands by establishing specific requirements and minimum standards for the design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of LNG mobile fuelling stations.Additional changes, developed by incorporating worldwide expertise and best practices, address the incorporation of membrane containment tanks. This critical change is intended to help meet the needs of new LNG export terminals and remote LNG storage units in Canada.
