In addition to covering the learning objectives contained in Z662 Pipeline Systems Essentials, participants in this extended three-day course will also:

  • Gain knowledge of principles related to inspection/ leak detection procedures for production welds
  • Discover best practices regarding joining, repair/maintenance welding, use of pressure equipment and sour service environment applications

Course Overview

Building on the fundamentals of the Z662 Pipeline Systems Essentials course, this specialized training allows participants to learn about CSA Z662's requirements for the qualification of welding procedures. Geared towards pipeline engineers, technologists and inspectors, this course delivers detailed examples of various pipeline welding/construction techniques and inspection/leak detection procedures for production welds.

Participants will take what they learned in the classroom and apply it on-the-job, with the objective of maintaining a safer workplace and helping reduce the risk of environmental incidents during various phases of pipeline installation.
